TV producer and media personality, Mo Abudu’s highly-anticipated Nigerian movie ‘FIFTY’ has been shortlisted under the ‘Love Category’ today by the British Film Institute (BFI), ahead of the 2015, London Film Festival.
The program of this year’s rich and diverse selection of films and events was unveiled by the Festival Director, Clare Stewart.
Mo Abudu’s movie, showcases African women coming of age, loaded with increasingly similar aspirations and dilemmas faced by their contemporaries everywhere, while yet navigating unresolved traditions and obligations.
Directed by Biyi Bandele, ‘FIFTY’ is set to have its first Festival premiere on Saturday, October 17, at the Vue 7 Cinema, London, and a special grand Nigeria premiere on December 13, at The Eko Hotel & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
However, Mo Abudu was present at the BFI’s announcement alongside the movie director and one of the lead cast, Nse Ikpe-Etim.
